Thank you for visiting the official website of the Association of Awdal Community of North America (AACNA). The purpose for this website is not to relay the daily news and occurrences. There are a myriad of websites operated solely for that reason. Ours is a website of a different kind; it is a website for the development of Awdal.
The site will focus on a particular project at a time. It will provide articles - and of course your ideas are always welcome - on the importance of that project but more importantly, it will track the fundraising campaign for that particular project by listing individual donors, pledges, amounts paid and amounts outstanding. As a community enterprise, the transparency of the fundraising process is crucial and integral to continued commitment to the process of social development.
The site will also serve as a discussion outlet for other projects in the pipeline. It will serve as a mechanism to brainstorm ideas, ways and means to select and fundraise for those projects that are important to the multifarious developmental needs of Awdal and the Awdalian society. At the moment, AACNA fundraising for the Dila-Borama road is underway in two fronts: North America and Borama. The participation of your community is also of paramount importance to the whole process. Please begin moving towards the mobilization of the community in your area and contact AACNA for consultation.
